CHARACTERISTIC

Excellent field 90%for cattle raising and 10 % agricultural, traveled by 1 Km. of Río´s Negro´s coast and 11 Km. of a subsidiary of the same river River.
500 hectares can be irrigated immediately and another 500 hectares can be irrigated in the future because those hectares are included in a master plan of the Federal Council of investment.
Another portion of the Field of 6.380 it´s an unirrigated land (whit wild or woodland) and 500 have been cleared.
The cattle receptivity in the 500 hectaresk it is of 500 calves that can be feeded carrying out pastures. In the wild it is necessary 15 hectares for animal unit.
It possesses cattle raising at the moment for breeding rodeo, and young bulls.
The quality of the water is good for cattle raising with a depth between 6 and 12 meters.
Types of sandy and franc-sandy soil´s.

The establishment can be divided in 3 sectors:

A coast sector. Based on the watering of the south riverbank of the Rio Negro whose exploitation is the alfalfa, for court and for seed production. This soil is capable for agriculture in general, even fruit farming.

Sector nearer to the River. It has soil aptitude for agriculture and it has low wild of jarilla (Larrea Divaricata). This sector has the advantage of being able to be cleared and cultivated as virgin soil, capable for cultivation of potato seed.

Both sectors are furrowed by a permanent stream of 11km of extension and a cubic flow of 3m per second. The channel that constitutes the stream can be used as source of water to extract with bombs.
The most suitable thing would be to use siphons method of irrigation.

Sector of outskirts. This soil is capable for agriculture, previous clareance of the wild and this included in its entirety in th project of watering of the federal council of investments.

Hydrological Regime: analysis of water.
The hydrological régime is characterized by the two annual floods: winter, toward July (derived of the rains in the upstream) and spring (for the concurrence of precipitations and thaw) between March and April the low water is presented.
The water of the RIO NEGRO presents R.A.S. values between 0,4 and 1,5 and ph values from 7,5 to 7,9.
The waters that constitute the watering source of most of the fsoils of the half valley of Rio´s Negros are of excellent quality, with very low saline content and without sodium danger. According to the norms of quality, of the central laboratory of salinity of U.S.D.A., Riverside (California), they are classified in class c1 and s1 (low salinity and low sodium that can be used for all the cultivations, in any soil type, with very little probability that salinity is developed.
As for the provision, the same one it´s not regulated and there are not limitations for extraction. watering canon it´s not necessary in the area. That is to say that alone it implies the extraction effort and this field has plane of mapping of the half valley of the Rio Negro.
